Read Nicolas’ Story

To celebrate international nurses day we spoke to Nicolas, Team Leader/ Senior Research Nurse of our Clinical Investigation Ward to hear his story.

I started working at CUH in 2004, and commence working at the CCRC in January, 2015. Back then I was based on CIW Satellite Unit, until our new CCRC building opened and I am now Team Leader of the Clinical Investigations Ward (CIW), where we specialise in later phase research trials.

In 1998, I trained at the Universidad de Leon Nursing school, Spain.

I get great satisfaction of being able to help the participants to have the best possible experience undergoing research or treatment and being able to contribute to the development of future health care improvements (e.g. new drugs, treatments, etc.).

The most rewarding part of my job? Receiving sincere gratitude from patients and colleagues when I have been able to help them

I am our equipment and Q Pulse champion link nurse for CIW, alongside being team leader to Yingshun, Sunjay, Sieevidya and Ashitha
